As I’ve eluded to previously, there are a couple of different ways people tend to approach weight loss.
Some folks are just looking for a way to lose weight quickly for an upcoming event like a wedding, spring break, or senior pictures. The Good and The Bad
Pros – I’ve kind of been blathering on with respect to the benefits of FLF already, but if I had to summarize, I would say that strength of this program lies in the fact that it is very comprehensive and yet very simple. It is not another 350 page e-book that you won’t even have time to read. The core document, and 83 page PDF does a good job of supplying only the information that is pertinent to your weight loss, and not a lot of fluff. I really appreciated this because:
- My time is valuable to me and I don’t have time to listen to some guy wax philosophical about weight loss.
- I wanted to lose some weight right away
- I was able to print the whole e-book without having to buy new ink jet cartridges
Additionally, the important stuff is always summarized in tables that can be quickly and easily referred to when I have questions. Since I printed it out, I just put sticky tabs on a couple of pages that I like to refer to now and again, like the The Fat Loss Factor 15- Foods For Maximum Weight Loss.
Cons – The one thing that bugged me a little bit about the material was the fact that Dr. Allen comes across to me as a little bit of an extremest. Not in all areas, but specifically with regards to Organic foods. He is a big proponent of eating only organic foods (I was beginning to wonder if he owned an organic farm or something). He spends a little time on his organic soap box which is great if you are into that sort of thing. It’s all very good information about the differences between organic and non organic and the benefits of eating organic foods but, to be honest, organic food is often too expensive. I don’t mind paying a little more and I do when it makes sense, but I think we have to use some common sense too. Just don’t get sucked so far into Organic-Mania that you can’t pay your light bill. Buy organic when you can (because it IS healthier) but don’t worry that you’re going to ruin your diet because your eggs aren’t cage free.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, I would say that I am very happy with The Fat Loss Factor program, BUT…
I don’t want to disillusion anybody into thinking that The Fat Loss Factor is a pain free Magic Bullet that will allow you to drop 10 pounds effortlessly. The initial 2-weeks is definitely challenging from a diet stand point and the 10 weeks after that involve a fair amount of physical work.
If you are willing to put in some initial work, you’ll find that the real payoff for the FLF program comes after the third month when you can settle into a maintenance lifestyle that does not contain frequent grueling exercise, a restrictive diet or even calorie counting.
